I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of our Chalkey families a wonderful winter vacation and a happy and healthy new year!

Promethean Boards:
We are very excited to be receiving new educational technology in our grade 4 and 5 classrooms this month. We are installing interactive white boards from the Promethean Company. These boards allow student/teacher interaction by touch screen technology allowing students to be more actively involved and motivated in their learning. Be sure to ask your students about this wonderful new tool we have that will excite us all about teaching and learning!


Student Council:
I am also happy to report that we have just begun our first student council with some of our grade 5 students. These students will be developing a school wide beautification project and community service project in the spring. I wish to thank our incredibly dedicated staff for a truly wonderful first quarter of school!


Our Staff:
The entire Chalkey staff is an amazing group of educators working together in teams to provide the best education for your children. We are dedicated to providing the very best for our kids! I wish to thank all of the families that were able to attend our 1st quarter awards assemblies as well as parent conferences in November. Thank you for your continued support! If you have any questions about your child’s progress in school please be sure to contact your child’s classroom teacher, they will be happy to meet with you or discuss concerns via the phone.
